Art has no fixed form—it can be the texture of a sheet, the detail of a design, or a casual conversation. On the stage of IOFT 2025, Jieme New Materials not only showcased its latest material innovations but also engaged in profound exchanges with "client artists" from around the world, exploring inspiration, culture, and market trends.
01 Client Artists: Global Inspiration, Diverse Perspectives
Every client who visited Jieme’s booth was a unique "artist"—bringing diverse cultural backgrounds, industry expertise, and aesthetic preferences, injecting new vitality into our designs.
Cultural Diversity, Varied Inspiration: Italian clients favored bold color contrasts, while Japanese clients paid closer attention to the subtle texture of materials; German visitors scrutinized sustainability metrics, while American buyers focused more on the product’s market narrative. These differences became a wellspring of inspiration for Jieme’s designs.
Stories and Personalities Shape Product Language: A French designer shared her fascination with "retro-futurism," prompting us to reconsider the balance between classic and innovation; a Korean brand manager proposed "soft minimalism," inspiring our next season’s color palette.
At IOFT 2025, Jieme’s booth was not just a product display area but a hub for global creatives. In this place, materials transcended their physical form to become mediums carrying diverse cultures, stories, and possibilities.
02 Creation: From the Exhibition to the Streets, Listening to the Market
IOFT 2025 went beyond exhibition hall exchanges. The Jieme team took to the streets of Tokyo, visiting clients and exploring stores to capture genuine market feedback.
Direct Dialogues at the Exhibition: We engaged in face-to-face conversations with eyewear brands, independent designers, and material sourcing experts to understand their latest demands for sustainable materials and color trends.
Inspiration from Tokyo’s Streets: From the boutique stores of Daikanyama to the trendy hubs of Akihabara, we observed how consumers interacted with products and recorded their authentic reactions to materials and textures. These subtle insights will inform our future product development.
The voice of the market often lies in the details. IOFT 2025 allowed us to hear it more clearly.
03 Jieme’s Tokyo Journey: Between Commerce and Art
Beyond the exhibition, Tokyo itself is a flowing art exhibition.
Tradition Meets Innovation: In old workshops near Sensō-ji Temple, artisans still handcraft eyewear frames with meticulous care, while in Shibuya’s concept stores, 3D printing technology is redefining "personalization." This collision of tradition and innovation aligns perfectly with Jieme’s design philosophy.
From Materials to Experiences: We adopted a Tokyo perspective to rethink our products—how can a sheet of material be more than an industrial component? How can it convey warmth, stories, and emotions? IOFT 2025 reinforced our belief: materials are the origin of art and the destination of commerce.
END.
